My name is Bob. I’m a backend Java developer, living a pretty comfortable life in Budapest. I rent a ~40 sqm flat in a brick apartment building. There’s a small stream behind the house, and the iconic Margaret Island is just a short bike ride away. Public transport? Excellent. The neighborhood? Quiet and cozy.
I like my lifestyle. If I don’t feel like cooking, I order. If I don’t want to carry groceries, I get them delivered. I love to travel – yes, sometimes by plane.
Still, I find myself thinking more and more about this: what kind of conscious choices can fit into this life, without giving up what makes it comfortable?
I’m not an eco-expert. I’m not here to preach or to lead the way. I just want to explore what’s out there, try a few things, and share my honest experiences.
If you’re curious too – come along for the ride.
Too comfy to change — but curious enough to try.
What I like to write about...
A few areas I keep coming back to – whether it’s curiosity, convenience or just comfort.
Living comfy
Comfort-driven habits, routines, lazy wins – how I like to live.
Trying to care
Conscious(ish) choices, no pressure. Just trying things that feel right.
On the move
Trains, planes, bikes – getting around while staying comfy.
Tech vs nature
I’m a dev. I use power. But sometimes I wonder: is there a better way?
Maybe useful
Things I’ve tried that might work for you too.
Experiments
Small tests, projects, tweaks – seeing what happens when I change something.
Fresh off the couch
Here’s what I’ve been exploring lately – slowly, of course. Comfortable curiosities, documented for your scrolling pleasure.
This isn’t your typical lifestyle blog. It’s more like a journal — about how I’m trying to live comfortably and consciously, while staying curious about what could be done differently.
